Synergy Mentorship Program (SMP)

Under Synergy Mentorship Program (SMP), 11th and 12th grade students are divided into teams of 4-5 student each, and every team is allocated a mentor who is a Synergy Alumni who has lived through the same journey of 2 years and is currently studying in a top college in the country. The mentor not only provides academic help to his/her team members but also provides valuable life lessons including sessions about the right mindset, time management, physical and mental state, and tries to bring every team member to his / her potential.
The following list contains the purpose of the program from mentors point of view, and what they can expect to learn out of it, and specific roles and responsibilities of mentors.
WHY (Vision / Purpose / Skill Upgrade for Mentors)

Communication Skills: Share your experiences and learnings with unknown juniors who are inspired by you.

Leadership skills: Be always inspired yourself, and then bring the inspiration in others to get them going through easy and difficult times.

People Management skills: Way too crucial. Learn to observe people’s view-point, understand their behaviors, decisions, actions without judging and guide them accordingly.

Applying GO-GIVER Laws: Give without expecting anything in return. It’s not a strategy, it’s a way of life. Give more and you will receive more.

Personal Walking Ambassadors: Time to start building your personal army who will stand with you forever.

Mentor Roles & Responsibilities

Schedule discussions with the team once every 2 weeks through google meet/zoom and discuss issues faced by team members and provide solutions. Schedule a physical meeting when you are in belgaum.

Academic Guidance: Discuss about time management in studies, revision techniques, problem solving methodologies, strategy during tests, and exam specific information – Boards / JEE / NEET / KCET / others.

Non-Academic Guidance: Develop confidence in team members, encourage them to Think BIG (zoomed out picture), give bigger life learnings and your mistakes/ good points during 11th and 12th .

Help in developing a right mindset and attitude within your team members towards studies and life.

Identify if any particular team member is lagging behind / feeling down / de-motivated and give them required extra personal care and attention.

Respect all team members equally. Give them a feeling of comfort and protection under your guidance. Never be harsh, and try to deal with all situations wisely. Don’t differentiate and create comparison between teammates in any aspect. Create a super positive atmosphere.

If you wish to become a mentor and learn and grow these skills along with teaching valuable life lessons from your experience to your juniors, reach out , become a mentor and be part of SMP
